For the second day, the fire continues to burn in the forest fund on the road to the village of "Kavatsi" above the area “Budjaka” in Sozopol. There is currently no danger for residents and tourists. The fire is localized, the mayor of Sozopol Tihomir Yanakiev said a few minutes ago for BNT.
We remind you that the fire started shortly after 14:30 yesterday from a grassy area on the road to the village of “Kavatsi”. The fire then crossed the road and reached a large structure, which burned completely.
An agricultural building also burned. Nearby is a chain grocery store, from where employees and visitors were evacuated. There was also an evacuation in a nearby hotel, and no one was injured. The fire on the Sozopol side has also been brought under control. It continues to burn, however, on the other side. The flames have covered a hard-to-reach area and a large area. Chain machinery and 9 teams of the fire department were involved in fighting the fire.
At the same time, however, around 1:00 a.m. last night, a second fire broke out near the “Golden Fish” campsite. It was extinguished with the help of volunteers and fire teams.
