In the West, the conditions for tourism in the mountains are rather good, in the East it is raining. This was reported to BTA by the Mountain Rescue Service (MSS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC).
There is fog in the high part of Central Stara Planina. The temperature on Mount Botev is two degrees.
In the afternoon, it will probably rain in more places, so tourists should descend earlier in the lower parts of the mountains, mountain rescuers advise.
Temperatures in the mountains are low, but this is normal for the season, PSS explained. Mountain lovers should be prepared for rain and cold weather. It will be slippery, their shoes must be good, the rescuers reminded.
The lift facilities of Pamporovo and Borovets are working.
During the past 24 hours, there have been no incidents with tourists in the mountains.
