A fire on the locomotive stopped the Sofia-Varna train to Chirpan, announced the Municipality of Chirpan.
No passengers were injured, there is material damage to the locomotive, said Mayor Ivaylo Kracholov.
Kracholov is at the station, together with Deputy Mayor Svetla Doncheva, to offer help and support from the Municipality.
The locomotive is part of the composition traveling on the Sofia-Varna line.
120 people traveled on the train and will be transported to Stara Zagora, added the mayor.
