A 20-year-old woman jumped with her one-year-old child from the third floor of a hotel in Kardzhali.
The accident happened on Thursday at 04:30. The woman went out the window with her baby in her arms and flew to the ground.
Residents in the surrounding buildings heard screams and called for help on the emergency phone number 112. An ambulance and a patrol car were dispatched to the scene, writes "24 hours".
The child was taken in serious condition to the Kardzhali hospital, after which he was transported to a health facility in Plovdiv.
Miraclefully, the mother escaped without injury. She was detained for 24 hours by the police. It is not yet clear why the woman jumped from the window with the child.
The mother and baby were from a village in Haskovo and checked into the hotel on Wednesday.
