After the pandemic, 2024 is the most strong year for tourism. Our country is in the top 5 in the European Union in terms of growth of tourist nights. A summary of the results of the summer season was made by Prof. Rumen Draganov, director of the Institute for Analysis and Evaluation of Tourism, on the air of the program “Tvoyat den” on NOVA NEWS.
„We also look at the length of stay, the money spent by our guests, the average daily price of the hotels”, explained Draganov.
According to him, it is understandable that Romanians are the most among foreign tourists, but they have a shorter stay in our country compared to the British and Germans.
"This is the strongest year for tourism. Total for the two holidays in September – 6th and 22nd, there are about 360,000 trips by Bulgarians in the country. This is more intense than last year," said Prof. Rumen Draganov.
