Debts of over BGN 20 million have accumulated by the company “Stolichen autotransport“. The municipal councilors are having an extraordinary meeting, and the accusations and scandals are part of their debate on the subject.
There were even accusations between municipal councilors. They could not understand whose fault it was – of the old or the new leadership, bTV summarized.
Accusations were also heard against the Ministry of Finance, which, according to some municipal officials, owes BGN 14 million to the capital's public transport.
In the end, it became clear that the line commission proposed that the Sofia Municipality allocate BGN 18 million to save the company. However, the final decision must be taken at a meeting of the SOS. The extraordinary meeting was announced for 10 o'clock on October 3, but it never started.
„The problem is in the state – they have not paid their compensations. They do not take their responsibility. It's easier for them to blame us”, explained Iliyan Pavlov, deputy mayor for transport.
„The mayor's report is for BGN 6 million. These are grossly inadequate means. With the other groups, we are thinking about how to cover all the obligations. We propose that BGN 11 million be given to “Stolichen autotransport“ and another 4 million BGN – of “Metropolitan electric transport”, said Ivan Takov from BSP.
„From GERB, we demand the resignation of the deputy mayor for transport. He does not cope with his duties. "Instead of Iliyan Pavlov going around and cleaning public transport with tissues, he should do something to avoid traffic jams," said Anton Hekimyan.
„On Monday, they unblocked the accounts. But why did it come to this arrest?! Because of the scandalous repair of the depot in “Druzhba”. We will give this case to the prosecutor's office,”, Andrey Zografski from the PP-DB-SS is emphatic.
