Today from 4:00 p.m. in the Coat of Arms Hall of “Dondukov“ 2 the head of state Rumen Radev will award the laureates of the presidential initiative “John Atanasov“ for 2024, dariknews.bg reported.
Honors will be awarded to deserving Bulgarian students – Olympians in informatics and information technology, promising young talents with innovative debut developments, visionaries who have developed projects with high social contribution and established educators who have trained generations of competitors and professionals in computer science.
The awardees will be in the following categories:
• Certificate “ John Atanasov – students and their teachers“;
• Certificate “ John Atanasov – a project with a high social contribution“;
• Certificate “ John Atanasov – debut breakthrough in computer technology“;
• Certificate “ John Atanasov – inspirer and creator of talent”;
The ceremony, which is being held for the 22nd year in a row, will take place on the date on which the distinguished inventor of Bulgarian origin John Vincent Atanasov, whose name the awards bear, was born 121 years ago.
