The times of conscription, when all young people and men were recruited to serve a certain period, have passed. First one must think about manning the army, but the question is a very delicate balance and whether the population will receive military training or disaster and accident actions. This was stated by the former Deputy Minister of Defense Yordan Bozhilov to BNT.
In his words, it is good that the Advisory Council on National Security has been revived, because in the life of a country there should be a wider consensus regarding the military conflicts that are close to us. However, everything depends on the legislator to adopt the necessary Law for the Protection of the Fatherland, said Yordan Bozhilov.
He called on the parties in the pre-election debate not to throw topics such as terrorism and migration. Sometimes terrorism is certain individuals, and other times certain organizations, Yordan Bozhilov pointed out. Radicalization must be combated with appropriate means at different levels - at international, national and personal levels. Bulgaria has a strategy for combating radicalization and terrorism, but it is not known since when it has not been updated, pointed out Yordan Bozhilov.
According to him, at this stage we can only talk about trends, but the ground attack will continue to develop with the aim of striking Israel and destroying Iran's warehouses and ammunition. Yordan Bozhilov expects that there will be a response from Israel - to show that they can threaten Iran on their territory.
