Stoyanova: Evacuation of Bulgarians from Lebanon, Iran and Israel is not necessary to date - 1

Colleagues from the government's state aviation operator are there, the crews are prepared, we have an organization, but we are watching very closely the organization in this area, because you can see that it is not just dynamic, it is becoming dangerous, he said in his first television interview in "The day begins with Georgi Lyubenov" the Minister of Transport Krasimira Stoyanova.

There is no more need to evacuate our compatriots, in the hotspots, whether they are in Lebanon, whether they are in Iran, whether they are in Israel? "At the moment - no".

"Maybe 15 minutes after our flight took off from Beirut airport there was rocket fire. We reacted extremely on time, this is very important in such situations, the professionalism of the pilots and the cabin crew is also of great importance. The pilots said, as did the flight attendants, that they never had any concerns, it was their job and they did it perfectly.

She added that to date, evacuation from Lebanon, Iran and Israel is not necessary.

"The information we have again from the colleagues from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is that such an evacuation is not necessary, but the prime minister and the services at the meeting that was held, very distinctly and clearly stated that it is being monitored very carefully, they must be enhanced security measures and to be taken in a timely manner, if necessary.

Krasimira Stoyanova sets herself the task of reforming the railways.

"The good results come when we start talking openly about the railways, identify what needs to be solved and start solving it. The second main thing is that the managements of the railway companies should be given freedom. Changes in leadership have a negative impact. For more than 20 years, BDZ has not had a new rolling stock. The last purchased trains are from 2003-2004, we are talking about newly manufactured trains".

He added that he will make efforts for friendlier and safer railways, but not for reform, as there is no time in his mandate. On the topic of changes regarding driving courses, the Minister of Transport stated the following:

"Driving schools had the opportunity to show who thinks what. I hope sanity prevails in the end. It's about us all driving safely, and in order to do that, it means being well-educated. Perhaps we should find fault with the state, which did not create the conditions to have this quality education. The new rules are for safety. To have digital diaries, to see how the cadets are trained. The system will be demonstrated at the end of this month. I am convinced that everyone will see that this is a good system and will significantly increase the quality of training.

Stoyanova explained that the arrival of the second medical helicopter was postponed to January, several months late.
