Ahmed Dogan appeared before the National Assembly.
He came to the defense of Ceyhan Ibryamov, who was arrested with marked money.
Hugging his wife Birshen Ibryamova, among dozens of sympathizers, Dogan protested against the arrest.
According to the prosecutor's office, Ibryamov requested the sum of 200 thousand BGN from his long-time acquaintance, in return for a promise to assist him in obtaining public contracts in the Ministry of Defense.
The state prosecution claims that the candidate for deputy declared that he would use the money to buy votes. Following a request from the investigators, his immunities have already been lifted by the National Assembly and the CEC.
