A firefighter rescued a baby from an accident near Veliko Tarnovo.

Vasil Petrov has nearly 30 years of experience as a firefighter, reports NOVA. “It struck me that the child was crying a lot. I decided to calm him down. I knelt down next to him, talked to him and decided to show him the fire engines,”, he recalls.

There is no protocol for comforting the injured in an accident at the fire station, is categorically stated by Art. Com. Krasimir Krastev, who is the chief of the fire station in Veliko Tarnovo.

The duties of the firefighters are to rescue the victims and deliver them to the doctors, if necessary.

“I am extremely grateful for the humanity and empathy of the colleague. I'm glad he helped the family by bringing a smile to their child's face, he commented.
