The Ministry of e-Governance will begin today the Trusted Build Procedure for the software to be installed on voting machines in the upcoming early parliamentary elections on October 27, the press center of the ministry announced.
The procedure will start at 11:00 a.m. and will be conducted by the Central Election Commission (CEC) in a controlled environment provided by the ministry. Representatives of political parties and non-governmental organizations are also invited.
After the completion of the process of the trusted construction of the software and the generation of the hash code, which will be written on the control receipt of the machine and on each bulletin, the Minister of e-Government Valentin Mundrov will give a briefing in the hall “Parter“ of the Ministry of e-Government, on which the hash code will also be publicly displayed.
The subject was also commented on by the official Minister of Innovation and Growth Rosen Karadimov, appointed by the government as the coordinator for the preparation and conduct of the vote. He emphasized that representatives of all parties and coalitions registered in the CEC are invited. I want to make a strong appeal to these people to attend this process as it ensures the security of the code itself, the minister said.
