We cannot compromise with the Euro-Atlantic orientation of Bulgaria. We have made compromises with everything else, we have shown how to compromise. It is important that this compromise is related to those things that people want – security, financial stability, water. People want water. This was stated by the candidate for deputy from GERB – SDS Kostadin Angelov in the show "Face to Face" on bTV.
In his words, the next regular cabinet should have bright political figures. "Only such a cabinet in the history of Bulgaria has led to results. We have seen what a cabinet with shady politicians leads to. We suggested that he form a government with an equidistant prime minister – Gabrovsky, it didn't happen. Enough of hiding. Let's go out with our faces, a clearly written agreement, with deadlines. Otherwise, we will lose billions", noted Angelov.
Regarding a change in the Electoral Code for bonuses for the first political force, Kostadinov commented: In debates, we can come to the conclusion that the last party can receive a bonus. We can write in the Electoral Code that only PP will govern the state.
According to him, there are about 42 settlements in Velikotarnovo that do not have water. "In 2020 a plumbing holding was created, there were billions in it. Now we have the same problem - we have no money, but political timelessness. For these four years, this problem should have been solved," he added.
Angelov explained what people understand by the Euro-Atlantic orientation: "For a large part of people, their children study in Western universities, their relatives have visited Western countries. They want us to live like them. This is how people understand Euro-Atlanticism – simple".
Boiko Borisov: This time they want the assembly to be done not in the monastery, but in the dungeon - that will not happen!
When asked if this SJC should elect Borislav Sarafov as chief prosecutor, Angelov stated: We in the SJC do not interfere. I ask myself a few questions – this SJC, whose mandate has expired, elected the chairman of the Supreme Court. Then there was no fuss, no explanations. It means it was normal to happen. The same SJC released Ivan Geshev. There was also no noise and talk in the direction of whether it was right or not. We believe that everything written in the laws and the Constitution must be respected. This authority is independent, there is no way for us politicians to interfere in the work of the SJC.
Regular government after the elections
The first step is to win the elections. And we will win them. Our goal is to form a working government. This is the state goal we will pursue, he added.
Angelov specified that GERD – SDS will talk with all parties that will enter the 51st parliament. "We will sign a coalition agreement with those parties that preach our value system. Such a party is PP-DB, ITN, DPS", Angelov pointed out.
When asked which DPS, he answered: If we believe sociology, then both DPS will enter. "We will never enter into a coalition only with DPS. We will sign an agreement with those parties that share our values. But we will not sign only with DPS", the candidate for national representative was categorical.
We will decide whether the BSP will participate in the governance of the country after the elections. After we have the necessary conversations, explained Kostadin Angelov.
