The management of "BDZ - Passenger Transport" became a victim of its own problems when the locomotive of the high-speed train Sofia - Varna crashed at the Roman station. The senior representatives of the railway were traveling for an important meeting in the town of Gorna Oryahovitsa, where they were supposed to discuss the upcoming stoppage of trains in Northern Bulgaria, but were delayed by an hour due to the technical failure.

Over 2,000 residents from various settlements in Northern Bulgaria have signed declarations of protest against the planned changes to the railway timetable, which will come into effect on December 15. The meeting in Gorna Oryahovitsa was attended by representatives of regional administrations, municipalities and the management of "BDZ - Passenger Transport". and National Railway Infrastructure Company.

Daniel Iliev, head of the department "Transport organization and train schedule" in "BDZ - Passenger Transport", commented: "I cannot say exactly how many trains are canceled. We have reduced the number of trains where passenger flows are weakest.
