Stoil Tsitselkov: There was election violence. Over 15% of the CCTV cameras did not turn on at all

The problem is that there are no sanctions and we have given a lot of independence to the SICs. They have a lot of discretion as to which ballot is valid and which is not, and this greatly skews the results. Until we have a minimum educational standard that these people understand the methodological guidelines in the same way, there is no way for them to participate, added the analyst

Stoil Tsitselkov: There was election violence. Over 15% of the CCTV cameras did not turn on at all - 1

Unfortunately, this is a vicious practice that we have talked about many times - they change people at the last minute with untrained ones, people who realize at the last minute that they are chairmen. The motivation is different, sometimes there are good reasons, but unfortunately, in most cases it is not. It is about the struggle of factions in one party, we are talking about DPS. In Blagoevgrad, shifts are in DPS, GERB, IT. This was said by Stoil Tsitselkov from the Public Council of the CEC in the studio of "The Day ON AIR".
According to him, everyone agrees that the weakest unit in the elections are the Sectional Election Commissions.

"For years we have been suggesting that these people pass a test, be trained. The problem is that there are no sanctions and we have given a great deal of independence to the SECs. They have a lot of discretion as to which ballot is valid and which is not, and this greatly skews the results. As long as we don't have a minimum educational standard, that these people understand the methodological instructions in the same way, there is no way for them to participate," Tsitselkov added on Bulgaria ON AIR.

"People didn't know what they were voting for"

He revealed that there was electoral violence. "Thank God, our team was not injured. This is a very ugly practice that we had forgotten. This is unacceptable, but I will not be one of those who will blame the Ministry of Interior. But now I expect action. We saw people trying to guide voters, party numbers and preferences were heard. There are badges with parties," emphasized Stoil Tsitselkov.

There were also people who did not know what they were voting for.

The wrong protocols
"Over 15% of CCTV cameras did not turn on at all. Many others did not have good visibility, or had a SIC face that completely obscured the camera. We know that if you can't implement a law, it automatically expires," explained the guest.

Tsitselkov is of the opinion that the errors in the protocols are due to human exhaustion.

"We have many sections where one political party wins over 90%. In the village of Yamino - 98% for "DPS - New Beginning", 96% in the village of Babyak. GERB wins Simitli by 88%," he revealed.
