The CEC decided that it would impose sanctions for missing video surveillance, but not for the scandalous filmed violations. The sanctions will be from BGN 20 to BGN 200, Dariknews.bg reports.
For 63 polling stations, a live video stream and recording of the early parliamentary elections on October 27 is missing. This was announced by the deputy chairman and spokesperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Rositsa Mateva, during today's meeting of the Commission. She referred to data from "Information Service".
On October 31, the CEC decided to demand from the “Information Service” full information related to the video surveillance during the counting of the ballots in the sections.
From the statistics sent by the “Information Service”, it is clear that video broadcast was supposed to be in 11,626 sections, a recording of the live broadcast was in 11,400 sections. The records were extracted from the devices of 11,556 sections, Mateva explained.
The CEC decided today that for the sections in which there was no video recording, the information will be sent to the relevant regional election commissions with instructions to collect the necessary information by the end of this week and draw up acts to establish violations of the chairmen of the sectional election commissions, for which according to the data from the “Information Service” no record was made of the counting of the ballots and the completion of the minutes. All information should then be sent to the CEC for further action.
