I am not convinced that we are going to new elections. But the procedure became complicated. In order to go to new elections, a speaker of the parliament must be elected. This was stated by sociologist Evelina Slavkova on the air of BNT, quoted by novini.bg.
In her words, the meeting between GERB - SDS and "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" will be significant.
The fact that Borisov is personally involved in the negotiation process and that there are no cameras is a signal that serious talks will be held in order to have a cabinet. Offers are still pouring in on the table. That meeting will probably go next week, she added.
According to her, the chairman of the National Assembly will probably not be elected tomorrow either. And he added that he would not be elected until this key meeting took place.
Evelina Slavkova noted that it would be difficult to form a government with other majorities. "I'm not sure how acceptable another majority will look. I don't think that's what society is asking for. Although 70% of the people say that there should be a government, even at the cost of some compression," Slavkova pointed out.
The political parties realize that going to another election will provoke the appearance of a new player. This new one will appear. Politicians have no eyes, nothing to say to voters. The pre-election campaign started after the elections, added the sociologist.
According to the sociologist Dobromir Zhivkov, the changes in the Constitution have the effect of blocking the work of the parliament. "The election of the Speaker of the National Assembly becomes a function for the negotiations,", he believes.
If it continues to an election, this looping process will result in the appearance of a new player. Those 2/3 of Bulgarians who are looking for this change will trust a new project. We will have a serious shift in the political status quo, Zhivkov added.
Kancho Stoychev stated that he does not see anything positive in the negotiations that have started. "Behind the many stories, we have to see what is the main thing, what is the stumbling block. This is the Attorney General and the judiciary. I don't see how a compromise will be made. That administration ended disastrously because of this issue", he added.
Kuncho Stoychev also described an exotic option for forming a government. "A collapse in PP-DB is possible. There is arithmetic that can lead to a government - "Democratic Bulgaria", together with Borisov, plus BSP and ITN, commented Stoychev.
