Political forces are already in the process of calculating when it is most convenient for the next early elections. Most likely, the goal is for them to be in March next year.
The political crisis will continue and deepen until the end of the current presidential term.
This opinion was advocated by political scientist Georgi Kiryakov in his commentary to BNR-Radio Sofia.
He is categorical that even if the necessary majority is achieved to elect the Speaker of the National Assembly, this does not mean at all that there will be a majority to form a regular cabinet.
And as it was seen today (on the third attempt), the people's representatives cannot even agree on the head of the parliament.
"I don't see such a prospect. We could have some hope if there were politicians in parliament. But I don't see them. We have witnessed endless disputes and scandals between individuals. Most of the votes today were "abstained". We elect MPs to build policies, and they abstain from politics. Politicians have carved out some territory for themselves, and no one wants to let another one in there."
According to Kiryakov, another impasse is again due to the fact that none of the political representatives have the desire and intention to deviate from their own ideas of behavior.
The elected representatives in the parliament do not produce any political meaning, despite the expectations of the voters. With the next elections, new and new players may appear.
