Representatives of the Russian opposition gathered at a protest in the center of Sofia , BNR reported.

The event takes place simultaneously in several European cities, including the capital of Germany, Berlin. The protest is directed against the war in Ukraine.

One of the participants in the protest - Alexander Tanev - stated:

"The Association for a Free Russia is an association of Russians who fled the war and came to Bulgaria so that they could continue their normal lives and express their opinion against the regime. Today we declare our support for the action of the Russian opposition in Berlin. It takes place not only there, but also in many other European capitals and cities where there are Russians like us. Soon it will be 1000 days of this terrible bloody war, which we must all stop and stop it by stopping the aggressor - not by blackmail, but by stopping the Russian totalitarian regime, which not only represses, but kills Ukrainian citizens, but it also represses Russians and people with a different opinion. And we use this freedom that exists in Bulgaria, so that we can express our opinion, to show the world that there are other Russians - we are for the victory of Ukraine.

On the occasion of the 1,000th anniversary of the beginning of the war in Ukraine on Tuesday, Ukrainians who live in our country gathered for a peaceful protest in Burgas.

They demand that the conflict end an hour sooner so they can return home. People gathered in front of the monument to the Soviet Army in the seaside town, where they pasted posters calling for peace and help to Ukraine.

“These 1000 days, every day we cannot help but think and experience these terrible things that are happening. It is impossible to retell simply with words what is happening inside us. And I hope Bulgaria will be free, I hope there will be no war here and I hope everything will end there faster," Valentina said.

“This terrible war must stop! That's why we are here, to support Ukraine, to help it and the people, and to support the entire world peace”, stressed Danail Maurin.
