"Multipartyism and fragmentation of the party system is a common trend for all European democracies, as well as polarization”. Sociologist Prof. Rumyana Kolarova in "Direction of Culture" on Darik radio.
However, she emphasized that the amalgam, which implies some kind of alloy, is not in the Bulgarian parliament, and this is precisely the problem when the results of the elections are seen.
Kolarova added that there is “something wrong” in the appeals of the parties, which have been going to elections for three years now.
“The wrong thing is actually… we've all already talked about splitting and that, well, you can't remove a party from the parliament after it's been voted for, but that's already something banal, everyone already realized it, well, that can't be done. Rather, there is something here that is very strange - the expectation that power is being relinquished. I heard both today and yesterday that GERB should cede power”, said Prof. Kolarova. And he recalled that the "sad end" of the office "Denkov" came precisely because GERB did not cede power.
Kolarova called this expectation "idiotic" and "inadequate".
When asked why then some think that their power should be given up, the sociologist said: “Because there is something wrong, there is some fundamental error.”
Kolarova also gave a recommendation to PP-DB to correct the mistake by signing an agreement with GERB-SDS, but if it becomes clear that it is not implemented, to withdraw from the coalition.
