Boyko Borisov pushes the country towards new elections.
This is what the MP from "There is such a people" told BNR. Stanislav Balabanov in a comment on the statements of the GERB leader to journalists at the party's headquarters:
"After Borisov threw the country into elections last time by refusing support for the third mandate, now he is headed there again. Now I heard that GERB had some kind of Executive Council, but that Boyko Borisov has again demonstrated behavior that, if we read it between the lines, rather says that we are going to new elections. For the last 7 elections, the results are such that 5 times out of them GERB was the first political force and on this basis Borisov could not form a cabinet 5 times.
According to him, if Bulgaria goes to new elections " in this catastrophic - financial, economic, political and social - crisis, Borisov will bear enormous guilt":
"And he will bear all his responsibility in the next election, whenever it may be.
The biggest absurdity in the current situation is for Borisov to be prime minister, Balabanov categorically stated.
According to the deputy, who is also a member of the Executive Council and secretary of the party, ITN has not yet decided whether it will respond to an invitation from GERB for negotiations on forming a government:
"We have made it clear that in order to have support from the ITN, regardless of which mandate we are targeting, we are entering into talks with the clear idea of a program with clear deadlines for implementation that will be fixed so that the public knows what will this parliament do and what will the executive power do in the form of a Council of Ministers".
He emphasized that ITN stated that in the 51st National Assembly they will talk to everyone, except for "the party represented by Delyan Peevski".
"I no longer want Bulgarian society to remain hostage to the personal ego of two or three political leaders. ITN provided the reasonable way out of this crisis. If support is found for Silvi Kirilov, who is the oldest, he will become the acting speaker of the parliament in order to unblock the legislative processes in the country and for the parliament to start working. My criticism is also towards PP-DB, after Mr. Trifonov signed the declaration on the sanitary cordon and the legislative part, well, colleagues from PP-DB, support Mr. Silvi Kirilov so that your legislative program can start happens", Balabanov also commented.
