Activists have pointed out that the ways to do this are through referral to the Constitutional Court or through legislative changes, such as the 51st parliament could vote on if it works.
The procedure for electing the chief prosecutor is underway and the only candidate for the position is the incumbent Borislav Sarafov, recalled Emil Georgiev, a member of the initiative:
"If we don't have a legislative resolution to the issue, if we don't have a referral to the Constitutional Court, this one wins, all those who are under his toga and all those - both Borisov and Peevski, all of them win. Everyone else loses".
