Elisaveta Belobradova: GERB have no plan and no idea how to manage the country - 1

GERB are not at consultations, there is no them on the parliamentary rostrum, they are not even in the media, because they have nothing to say - they have neither a plan nor an idea of how to run the country. This is what he said in the show "Panorama" on BNT the deputy from "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" Elisaveta Belobradova.

We have no answer as to what Boyko Borisov did - did he try to form a European majority, did he try to elect a technical chairman of the National Assembly? It was not clear what Borisov was doing for four weeks, she added.

We took a step back for the Speaker of the National Assembly and explained why we are doing it. The main function of the parliament is to form a government. Colleagues from GERB say on social networks that the only sign to elect a speaker is a sign of a ruling majority, they say that with their support for Kiselova's candidacy for speaker of the parliament, they are looking for a ruling majority. If they are looking for a majority, why didn't they show up for any management talks? I would call on GERB to explain what they intend to do and what their support means. Kiselova's candidacy opened the door to what principles we are betting on when we vote for the president, Belobradova said.

This is not a game, this is a very serious political crisis that we all need to take seriously. The goal of "Democratic Bulgaria" is to answer the main question - how to govern Bulgaria. When you are in parliament, the most important goal is not technically the Speaker. Peevski holds executive and judicial power. The only way to fight it is to form a government within the sanitary cordon around it, pointed out the deputy from "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria".

In response to a question about the differences in the coalition regarding support for Silvi Kirilov and the position of "Democratic Bulgaria" not to support him, Elisaveta Belobradova noted: "It is about political pluralism, about the fact that the election of Silvi Kirilov is a technical election to unblock the parliament and send the state to elections. We believe that the main task of this parliament is to broadcast anti-corruption governance within the sanitary cordon around Delyan Peevski, which would separate Peevski from the judiciary and then talk about governing Bulgaria in the long term.

Regarding the request of "We continue the change" Daniel Laurer and Yavor Bozhankov to resign because of their refusal to support Silvi Kirilov's candidacy for Speaker of the National Assembly, Belobradova commented: "The principles of "Democratic Bulgaria" have always been in favor of freedom of expression. The positions of the two colleagues were clearly expressed from day one that they cannot vote for a majority in which "Vazrazhdane" participates. We have stated that they should not be excluded from the parliamentary group. No such request has been submitted and this should not be a topic of conversation in the future.
