The former MP from PP-DB and founder of party "Volt" Nastimir Ananiev believes that the unification of the two formations "We continue the change" and "Democratic Bulgaria" creates tension due to potential differences in their priorities, therefore a separate appearance in the elections would bring more votes for the democratic community, reported news.bg.
Each of the formations has its own identity and electoral support, and the question is whether it is reasonable for the PP and DB formations to continue together.
Ananiev believes that DB is showing a tendency to get closer to GERB, which also raises questions about the sustainability of the alliance between them and PP.
The former MP criticized DB for their behavior after the announced exclusion of Daniel Laurer and Yavor Bozhankov from the parliamentary group. He expressed displeasure that the DB had announced in advance that they would not support such measures, which undermined the leadership of the PP. Ananiev noted that it was not collegial for DB to come out with such a position while the issue was still subject to internal discussions.
He emphasized that, as leaders of lists, Laurer and Bozhankov are part of the party team and should comply with the decisions of the leadership. According to Ananiev, their responsibility to the group is greater precisely because of the role that was entrusted to them.
In the context of internal disagreements, Ananiev pointed out that such problems are not new and gave an example of the treatment of Boyko Rashkov, when no resignation was demanded. Such problems undermine the stability of the formation.
Otherwise, Nastimir Ananiev's opinion is like that of "We continue the change", that the work of the National Assembly should be unblocked.
