The National Police is taking measures on the occasion of the upcoming student holiday. All the places where there will be many celebrants are clear. Thus, measures have been taken to ensure road safety, said Maria Boteva, deputy head of the "Road Police" to the "National Police".
There will be control on the roads against drivers without licenses, drugged or drunk drivers. It will also be monitored for defective cars.
A large part of those celebrating are young drivers, so it is important that they leave with cars prepared for the winter - fluids, spare tires, working wipers.
Gheorgi Tolin from the fire department explained that in the last 20 days, special checks have been made in hotels, restaurants, lodges and stations. The inspections were done all over the country.
More than 530 objects have been checked. Installations and emergency exits were inspected. Non-serious violations were found in 58 sites - mainly lack of regular documents. Fire extinguishers were also not found in some places. 58 prescriptions and four protocols were handed out. Three acts have also been drawn up.
Darin Dimitrov from "Security Police" said that meetings were held with the local authorities and measures were taken to maintain public order. There will be more police around the establishments.
The control over the sale of alcohol to minors, as well as the sale of pyrotechnics, has been increased, Darin Dimitrov also pointed out.
