This week, the acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov is expected to speak out on the proposal of the Sofia District Prosecutor's Office whether he will request the immunity of PP-DB MP Lena Borislavova, NOVA reported.
Last week, Sarafov was on a visit to the United States.
It then became clear that a prosecutor had requested that Borislavova's parliamentary protection be dropped due to an investigation into a documentary crime in the release of Kiril Petkov from the association “Let's Save Coral“.
Over the weekend, GERB leader Boyko Borisov announced that his parliamentary group would vote "against" the lifting of her immunity.
Later, the MP replied that she would waive it herself before it was considered by the plenary.
