The Temporary Committee for Elaborating a Draft Regulations on the Organization and Activities of the National Assembly adopted that the standing committees remain 25, as in the previous 50th parliament.
The proposal of “There is such a people“ that the Committee on Foreign Policy and the Committee on European Affairs and Control of European Funds be united into one – Committee on Foreign Policy and European Affairs was not accepted. “Their extremely rare convening shows that they can work on the topics together”, MP Pavela Mitova argued the proposal.
The Chairman of the Temporary Committee on Rules of Procedure Hristo Gadzhev from GERB-SDF pointed out that the Committee on European Affairs has always been independent since our entry into the European Union and that for Bulgaria these are community issues.
The proposal of MPs from the parliamentary group of “Democracy, Rights and Freedoms“ - MRF to have a Committee on Electronic Governance and State Administration instead of a Committee on Electronic Governance and Information Technologies was also rejected.
During the meeting of the temporary committee, “Vazrazhdane“ withdrew their proposal to distribute the leadership of the parliamentary committees proportionally among all parties represented in parliament.
