Due to the heavy rain that has been falling in Plovdiv since the morning, the recently renovated "Dame Gruev" ul. in the South district has turned into a lake.
This is what the Bulgarian National Radio reports.
The intersection of "Dame Gruev" with "Ohrid" ul. next to the "Hristo Botev" community center has flooded and pedestrians cannot cross. People are already joking on social networks that the space could be filled with fish.
I recall that "Dame Gruev" ul. was closed for repairs for 2 years and caused huge inconvenience for those living in the area. Now people are wondering what is the reason for the flooded intersection - clogged manholes or a poorly calculated slope.
There are also floods on other streets in the "South" area - "Petar Stoev" and "Petar Vaskov" have turned into rivers.
And in the village of Belashtitsa, near Plovdiv, the water reaches the license plates of cars and people joke that they have to launch amphibians to pass through "Stopanska" street.
