A Hungarian company is one of the participants in the process of submitting offers to purchase the majority share of the ownership of “Lukoil-Neftochim“. This was confirmed by the acting energy minister Vladimir Malinov in connection with the information from the briefing of the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán that the Hungarian company MOL has an interest in the refinery in Burgas.
“We respect private property. The Bulgarian state cannot have a decisive say regarding the ownership of the refinery. But we are monitoring these processes very closely“, Malinov said.
He added that it is the decision of the deputies whether the parliament will intervene in the deal.
The caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev and the Minister of Energy inspected today the largest hydro-energy facility in our country – PAVETS “Chaira“. It stopped working two years ago due to a serious accident.
And the caretaker Prime Minister criticized the members of parliament, but for their working hours and the delay in the budget.
“We will work every day until the new year. This is an example of how an institution should work, albeit a caretaker government, unlike another authority. After they elected a chairman with titanic efforts, they said they would work until the budget was adopted,“ commented Glavchev.
Regarding the European Commission's decision that there were no violations of competition in the deal with the Turkish company “Botaş“, the energy minister pointed out that this will not stop attempts to renegotiate the agreement.
