A wave of outrage swept social media after a photo was published showing a dog being tied up and dragged by a car.
What was filmed happened in the village of Monastirishte in Vratsa. Inspection shows animal was dead.
“He is an adult, he could have sought help if he couldn't handle burying the body”, said Plamenka Kalinkina, an environmentalist from the “Papichki na pravdlyadstva” foundation to Nova TV.
She explained that deceased animals should be buried in the area of a cemetery or taken to a rendering plant.
Kalinkina also told about another case in which a man tried to kill a dog with a paving stone in the parking lot of a large store in the city. “People like this dog, they feed it”, Kalinkina said.
