The snow is wet, heavy. We must prepare for heavy snow. One option is to run the cables in the problem areas underground, but this is expensive. This was stated on Nova TV by Valentin Nikolov, former Deputy Minister of Energy and former Director of the Bulgarian Energy Holding.
„The easement zones turn out to be very small due to the growing trees. Even without snow, if a 30-meter tree falls, it will cause an accident”, he explained.
„It is good to see the forest from the individual trees. We are focusing on the specific case. It should not be minimized, but we are not considering the structural problem – the poor management of the energy sector in our country. "The prices of network services are the lowest in the EU," says Martin Vladimirov, an energy expert.
According to him, the big elephant in the room is when the liberalization of the electricity market will happen. Things will become increasingly complicated.
"Sofia will have electricity problems in the future," Vladimirov also warned.
