The bodies of three men were found on the Bulgarian-Turkish border, the “Mission Krile“ foundation announced and the press center of the “Border Police“ confirmed the information to BNR Burgas.
The bodies were found in the area of the border police station in Sredets after checking signals submitted to the 112 telephone number. Two of them were received on December 28 and the third – on the 29th, the “Border Police“ specified. Teams immediately left for the indicated place where they found the bodies.
The men were without identity documents.
No traces of violence were found, it was an accident – said the spokesperson of the „Border Police“ Lora Lyubenova.
The initial information of „Mission Krile“ that these are Egyptian citizens cannot be confirmed. It does not correspond to the reality that these are boys – they are men, the spokesperson of the „Border Police“ specified.
When asked whether the cause of death could be hypothermia, she answered in the affirmative.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated.
