Assoc. Prof. Burudzhieva: It may lead to an expert government - 1

It is possible that something other than the name of the prime minister has hindered the negotiations for a government. This was stated by political scientist Assoc. Prof. Tatyana Burudzhieva on the air of "Denyat na Zievo" on NovaNews, quoted by novini.bg
From the beginning, the PP insisted on an equidistant prime minister. During the campaign, Borisov rejected this position. Both parties were aware of their position. BSP and ITN insisted on an expert government, which does not mean that political responsibility should not be borne by GERB. From the information that leaked, Borisov gave up the post of prime minister, Burudzhieva added.

If we accept the hypothesis that the name of the prime minister has hindered the negotiations – it is indicative of how it will be governed afterwards. If they cannot agree on this name, what can we expect for the names of the ministers and the policies they will lead, she also said.
I cannot help but agree with the president that the responsibility lies with the entire Bulgarian people. There is a moment when the parties must be more willing to sacrifice. The expectation that nothing will change in the next elections is not very accurate. There are trends that can increase the result of one of the other parties. The course is changing and it may turn out that after the next elections a government can be formed with some of the other parties, the political scientist believes.

And she added that this could happen in this parliament. "The DB has 18 MPs. There are four more parliamentary groups with which negotiations have not been held. It could lead to an expert government," Burudzhieva also pointed out.

According to her, no solution will be found to form a government with a second or third mandate.

According to her, it is possible that Borisov could be a candidate for Prime Minister if GERB proposes a minority cabinet. "As far as I heard today, GERB will return an empty mandate. This means that we are heading towards new elections," Assoc. Prof. Burudzhieva noted.
