"We continue the change" accused GERB-SDF of turning the judicial reform and the country's budget hostage to the negotiations for forming a regular cabinet. The political force stated that they will make adjustments to the government's special law, which affects the country's revenues and expenditures, until the adoption of a regular budget for 2025. This was stated by the co-chairs of "We continue the change" Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev and the co-chairman of the PP-DB parliamentary group Nikolay Denkov on the sidelines of the parliament, a reporter for "Focus" reported.

Assen Vassilev said that in the special bill on revenues and expenditures, which the parliament adopted minutes ago, the PP-DB plans to make editorial changes to continue the policies set out in the 2024 budget.
The former Finance Minister said that such adjustments should be made to the law so that the policies of the past year are continued.
"We are trying to correct the extension law and prepare the next regular budget for 2025 to be based on policies, so that it is known from the very beginning what the money is being spent on", said Nikolay Denkov.
Assen Vassilev said that the special bill, pending the adoption of the budget, regulates compensation for electricity for businesses. He said that the Ministry of Finance is proposing that, once the legislative texts are adopted, they enter into force retroactively - January 1, so as to ensure a secure environment for business.
However, according to him, the parliament should focus its efforts on adopting a regular budget for 2025. He explained that some of the wage increases, for which there is no legal and regulatory basis, can only be implemented with a regular budget.
