The meteorological situation in the southern half of the country will remain complicated, BNT reported.
Snowfalls will continue, with more significant ones in the Rila-Rhodope region, Strandzha and Sakar, and weaker ones in the Fore-Balkans. Maximum temperatures will be between minus 1° and 6°, in Sofia - minus 1, and minimums - between minus 4° and 3°, in Sofia - minus 4. There will be no precipitation in the Danube Plain. The wind will be oriented from the northeast - it will be moderate, in the eastern regions and temporarily strong.
Cloudy, foggy and in many places with snowfalls will be the weather in the mountains. More significant amounts are expected in the Rila-Rhodope region, Strandzha and Sakar.
It will also be very windy. A strong northeasterly wind will blow, and on the ridges - east-southeasterly. There will be blizzards and drifts will form along the passes.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the wind will weaken, but it will remain cold, and on the night of Tuesday, precipitation will stop almost everywhere, the cloud cover will break and decrease. More significant precipitation will remain over the southeastern regions and the Rhodope Mountains, where very light snow is possible in some places. Sunny weather will prevail over the next three days, and daytime temperatures will slowly begin to increase.
