„In Romania, they froze salaries and pensions because they are in an excessive deficit procedure - this is what awaits us if we continue on this trajectory. The problem is not in the revenues, but in the expenses – they are not in line with the level of labor productivity and the economy”. This was said by the Chairman of the Management Board of AIKB Vasil Velev on the air of the program „Your Day” on NOVA NEWS. And he added that salaries are not paid by employers, but by the market.
It would be difficult for me to give an assessment of the new Social Minister Borislav Gutsanov, but I know that he has been involved in business, political activity at the municipal level and in parliament. He is starting his work with enthusiasm, he has a request to solve many issues. There are several major problems related to the new budget - the state of the pension and insurance system and the difficult situation on the labor market with the lack of people's qualities for the needs of the economy, as well as human resources”, commented former Social Minister Hristina Hristova.
“The new Finance Minister Temenuzhka Petkova has a long experience in the department. But she faces a difficult task. It is not normal to have a 3% GDP deficit. A deficit occurs when there is a decline in the economy”, explained Velev.
Hristova, in turn, expressed hope that the investment program of 14 billion leva to be implemented by the new government.
