The budget is not that bad. The big question is what it will look like next year. The question is what their intentions are for the future and what the political goals are. Finally, someone will wipe their sweaty forehead and say I managed to find the right balance. This was stated by the president of Podkrepa Chamber of Commerce, Dimitar Manolov, in the program Face to Face on bTV.
The budget should look reasonable enough if we are going to pursue the goal of entering the eurozone, he believes. "The conversation about the euro is being conducted piecemeal, emphasizing parts that may not be that important. A comparison is being made with Croatia - the similarities are so small that they are non-existent. In terms of everyday life, I would feel better in the eurozone," Manolov pointed out.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Zhelyazkov specified that the VAT for restaurateurs remains 20%.
"This is a good step. When they made the tax 9%, they did not reduce prices, but increased them fourfold. People got used to this price increase. In Brussels, prices in restaurants are not lower than those here," he added.
Regarding the increase in salaries of employees in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Manolov commented: "This was a long struggle. I cannot say whether it is being done in the best way, but my colleagues did what they could. Just like we did for higher education.".
