On March 8, we celebrate International Women's Day. They celebrate mothers, grandmothers, wives and girlfriends. And the classic gift on this day remains flowers. Who chooses what to give in Montana?
Roses, tulips, gerberas, flowers in a bouquet or in a pot. But what do men most often look for on March 8? “I try to choose the most beautiful flower possible, because it is for loved ones“, they say.
At the flower market in Montana, a rose is sold for 8 leva, a tulip for 4 leva, a gerbera for 6 leva. Bouquets are between 20 and 40 leva.
According to flower traders, there has been a more significant increase in the price of roses compared to last year. "Everything is more or less the same as last year's prices. There is nothing specific that would make a drastic difference," says Ivaylo Grigorov, who owns and produces flowers, Nova TV reports.
“Some people are looking for something more budget-friendly, while for others it doesn't matter. There are single flowers, they also prefer larger bouquets, but the rose is classic”, shares Natalia Georgieva, who sells flowers.
This year, merchants have ordered significantly fewer flowers, compared to previous years.
“This year, March 8 falls on a Saturday, we have ordered a smaller amount of flowers for the simple reason that students, businesses, and colleagues will not be there“, adds Ivaylo.
And with flowers in hand, men make wishes.
And the stronger sex wishes women: “First of all, I would like to wish all the ladies to be healthy and to know that without them we are useless“.
