The hypothesis with the MECH party is not described in the rules of the National Assembly. I expect it to include a text that will tell what happens when there is a situation of replacing one deputy with another. This was stated by Prof. Ekaterina Mihaylova, a lecturer in constitutional law, in the program "Face to Face" on bTV.

In my opinion, it should have been waited until this week, in this particular case there are no deadlines. A lot of emotions in a few days, which will end quietly and peacefully on Wednesday. It's a bit of a storm in a teacup. We will have a group next week, Mihaylova pointed out.

One of the elected deputies was announced by a decision of the CEC on Thursday. When will this person be sworn in, she asked.

"It is not something new to have a desire to prevent one or another MP from having a group. If we look at the regulations over the years, we will see different decisions. There have been cases that if it drops to 7 people - there can be a parliamentary group. It is in the service of someone. We have had regulations that say that the PG can be as written in the CEC. This is a political conjuncture and follows the needs of society," Mihaylova recalled.

Mihaylova also commented on the Constitutional Court's decision, according to which the "Velichy" party entered parliament. "It was good that the decision was made unanimously. If it had been the other way around, they would have stirred up more political passions. Such a decision affects many interests - political and personal. One leaves, another enters," she added.
