„The vote of no confidence in the government was submitted by an anti-European coalition. We, as a political force that has consistently supported Bulgaria's European path, fought for it, cannot support such political theses“, said in „This Saturday“ on bTV Nadezhda Yordanova from „Democratic Bulgaria“ (DP).
„We will support every action that leads Bulgaria to the eurozone and does not change its geopolitical orientation, namely – to the heart of Europe, not to the periphery of Russia“, she said.
Yordanova, however, expressed concern that The government's actions are not always decisive in the direction that the DB considers important.
„There was hesitation about submitting the convergence report. After our public insistence, this happened. We also saw the amendments to the law on the BNB - the same ones that were rejected two months earlier. There were hesitations about where the government should stand in the European conversation about ending the war in Ukraine“, the DB MP gave as an example.
„DPS-New Beginning“ are fulfilling the role that we suspected they would have. They were a covert part of the ruling coalition, and are currently an increasingly overt part of it. This is the conflict that is emerging in the DPS-DPS. Borisov, in all his hesitations, did not find the courage to distance himself from Peevski," Nadezhda Yordanova believes.
"We are against the left turn that "DPS-New Beginning" took. Unfortunately, the government also adopted it," she added.
