Funds for the repair of the Burgas - Malko Tarnovo road are missing from the latest version of the state budget for this year. This was commented on at the BTA national press club in Burgas by the co-chairman of the parliamentary group of "Continuing the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" Nikolay Denkov.
We will discuss where the funds for this section disappeared. For the region, this is a main road to Turkey, but it is in very poor condition. Funds were again set aside for it, but work has not started. In the latest version of the budget, even the funds have disappeared, Denkov pointed out.
"It is important to see what we can do to help solve some of the local problems and to meet with our sympathizers. We discussed the issue of the concession of the Airport – Burgas and the problems with the water supply of the city of Pomorie“, commented on his visit to Burgas Denkov.
Regarding the work of the Burgas airport, he said that it is systematically seen that the concessionaire company is giving priority to another airport and this is not fair.
He expressed the opinion that this hinders the development of the region and suppresses economic activity.
We will raise the issue of a fairer distribution of flights with the concessionaire. This conversation is not easy, but it is extremely important, emphasized the co-chairman of the PP-DB parliamentary group.
Answers will also be sought on the topic of the water supply system of the city of Pomorie, which creates problems for the tourist city during the summer months, when tourists are welcomed, explained to journalists the regional leader of “We continue the change“ in Burgas Todor Terziev. Although funds have been earmarked for repairs, the delay in this project is present, he pointed out. According to him, at least 20 projects in the Burgas region have been dropped from the budget for this year, compared to the previous budget.
For his part, Denkov added that funds for completing the repair of Dyulinski Prohod have also not been earmarked. There are many examples of this systemic problem of the road agency - it is not clear how the projects are selected for implementation. The suspicions are that this is done not because of their significance and importance, but according to which company will receive the funds, Denkov commented.
Asked by journalists whether it is possible that he is the candidate of "We continue the change" for president in the elections next year, Denkov pointed out: "What there is are rumors for the moment and nothing else. I will not comment on rumors. "I have also said in the media that what is important is to select the best candidate who can unite many people, and we are still looking for this candidate." He added that there are no differences on this topic in the PP-DB coalition.
