For tomorrow – May 7, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology announced a yellow code throughout the country for significant, in places and intense precipitation with thunderstorms. There will be conditions for thunderstorms and hail.
After a temporary cessation of precipitation, around noon and afternoon on Wednesday, the phenomena will continue. Over the mountain ranges in Western and Central Bulgaria, rains will be intense. Thunderstorms and hail are also possible there.
Maximum temperatures on Wednesday will be slightly lower than today – between 20 and 26 degrees. In Sofia – around 21, 24 degrees in Plovdiv and 20 in Varna.
On Thursday, precipitation will continue. In Northern Bulgaria, they will be in more places and more in quantity, temporarily intense, with thunderstorms, there will also be conditions for hail.
The wind will be mostly weak, temporarily oriented from the east. Minimum temperatures will be between 8° and 13°, and maximum - between 20° and 25°.
On Friday, the wind will again become northwesterly and cool air will penetrate with it. After a temporary cessation of precipitation, it will rain again in the evening. There remains an increased probability of local intense and significant precipitation. Temperatures will be a degree or two lower.
