President Rumen Radev and his wife Desislava Radeva welcomed Polish President Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda at an official ceremony at “St. Alexander Nevski“ Square in Sofia.
Andrzej Duda, who is on an official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of the head of state, paid tribute at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier.
The two presidents are set to hold a “private” meeting at “Dondukov” 2, after which plenary talks between the official delegations of the two countries are scheduled.
The focus of the conversation between the two presidents is expected to be the prospects for further deepening bilateral economic exchange and investments between Bulgaria and Poland, partnership in the fields of security and defense, science, culture and education. Radev and Duda are also expected to discuss topics from the European Union agenda, regional cooperation and the security environment in Europe.
