Today we witnessed how, with procedural moves that show cowardice on the part of the ruling party, the proposal of “Vazrazhdane“ to consider the request to convene a referendum on Bulgaria's membership in the eurozone was eliminated. This was stated by the leader of “Vazrazhdane“ Kostadin Kostadinov to journalists in parliament.
He explained that the item was recorded as the sixth for today, but no extension of the working hours of the deputies was proposed.
We proposed an extension of time until the agenda was exhausted, that is, until our sixth item, but it was rejected, Kostadinov specified. According to him, the opposition's right to propose and have bills and draft decisions considered on the first Wednesday of every month has been violated.
He explained that parties from the ruling majority submitted their proposals for consideration precisely today, and this is how the time was delayed.
