The GERB-SDF MP Toma Bikov called on Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev to step into his powers, talk to the unions and start solving the problems that he himself has caused, by stopping blaming others for what is happening.
"We heard the statements of the PP-DB colleagues, according to which everyone, except the mayor of Sofia, is to blame for a situation in which there are 2 million in Sofia", Toma Bikov told journalists in parliament. He asked whether during these 2 years. at the head of the municipality, Terziev has done something that was not caused by "the international situation, the order of the planets, Boyko Borisov, I don't know what majorities, etc.". According to him, the problem is that from day one Terziev has not understood that this city is governed by a majority.
He should have negotiated with both the political forces and the unions and transport workers - something that he does not do, and that is why this problem exists,", believes Bykov.
According to him, the capital's mayor must change his way of communicating with the outside world, with the people around him, with his opponents and with those who support him and enter into his role as mayor.
"Mr. Boyko Borisov was mayor and then was elected Prime Minister. Ms. Yordanka Fandakova was mayor for several terms and none of them justified themselves with external factors. If Mr. Terziev wants to continue his political career, you see - the mayor of Bucharest is a candidate for president in the second round, if they want their colleagues to nominate Mr. Terziev for president since he is so good and successful. And for the people to elect him for president or prime minister", the MP said ironically.
"We hope that he will soon take office, stop justifying himself with everything else and evaluate the mistakes he has made, the result of which is unfortunately being consumed by everyone in Sofia", added Bykov.
Deputy Speaker of Parliament Raya Nazaryan commented on today's hearing in the National Assembly regarding the state contract with the Turkish company "Botaş". According to her, it has shown one thing - when there is an investigation on a topic, the hearings in the National Assembly do not achieve their goals. Each of the persons who were in the hall today explained that they gave testimony. "They would hardly incriminate themselves right in the parliament", Nazaryan also commented.
She added that we heard in the National Assembly that the start of the negotiations for this contract was given by the president – at the level of heads of state of two friendly countries. “We also heard that at that moment – during the negotiations and the signing, Bulgaria did not need to negotiate new capacities. So, the question remains why this contract was concluded for exactly 13 years by a service cabinet, which has completely different functions“, she asked.
On the basis of what analyses was such a long-term contract concluded?“, asked MP Raya Nazaryan. She pointed out that there are still unanswered questions on the topic.
