The Krichim-Devin road has been completely closed for a second day. The reason is the collapse of a 15-meter section of the roadway.
Heavy equipment is working to provide an emergency single-lane passage today, BTV reported.
The collapsed section has swallowed up the entire road lane in the direction of Devin. A large part of the roadway has collapsed towards the basin of the Vacha dam.
Excavators are trying to dig and expand a section outside the road that can temporarily accommodate traffic. According to the plan, the emergency work will continue until Sunday evening.
Until then, the Krichim-Devin road will remain completely closed. Currently, traffic from Plovdiv towards Smolyan and Devin is carried out only via Pamporovo and Rozhen.
