The Sofia Metropolitan confirmed that the metro will operate tomorrow as well, amid the ongoing ground transport protest. Buses, trolleybuses and trams have not been running in Sofia for the fourth day, BNT reported.
In connection with an event at the National Stadium “Vasil Levski” on Sunday evening, the metro will operate with extended working hours - until 01:30 (compared to Monday).
And the Sofia Municipality and the Ministry of Education are considering transportation for students who have their matriculation exams next week.
No agreement has yet been reached between the unions and the municipality. The mayor of Sofia has set the return of employees to work as a condition for negotiations.
