Many citizens filled the space and blocked traffic around the Sofia Municipality building on 33 "Moskovska" Street in Sofia to express support for Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev in the dispute over the public transport strike that blocked the capital.

Among the protesters are some of the leaders of the PP-DB coalition, which stands behind Mayor Terziev, including Kiril Petkov, Ivaylo Mirchev, Lena Borislavova, Nikolay Denkov, as well as municipal councilors, news.bg listed.

Some of the protesters described the mayor as a "sucking son-in-law". According to them, he is trying to work despite the decisions of various institutions that hinder his work. The motto of the event is: "The fools will not take Sofia".

The co-chairman of PP-DB and former Prime Minister Kiril Petkov commented to the media today on the government's decision to allocate 15 million leva to resolve the wage crisis in public transport.

"Sofian residents said today "We are not fools". The theater we are watching today was very indicative, they created a problem and tried to put pressure on the mayor," said the co-chairman of "We continue the change".

He announced that he was very proud that Vasil Terziev did not give in to the pressure of GERB. "They had prepared a vice - the mayor to be pressed against the wall, but the vice did not work. Sofia residents said today that they will not give in and will stand on the side of the mayor," said Kiril Petkov, visibly pleased with the people who gathered in support of Vasil Terziev and his policy to resolve the crisis in public transport.

According to him, money will now be thrown "from the jeep" to solve the problems.

"Currently, the municipal council is controlled by the economic majority and the only thing the mayor has are Sofia residents," said Kiril Petkov.

"Some people were used by the political majority and the public transport protest, which blocked the depots, was a way to manipulate people to be used as a tool against the mayor," Petkov emphasized and called on Vasil Terziev not to give in to political pressure.

The demonstrators carry protest posters that read: "I support Mr. Terziev!", "SOS = sabotage of municipal construction", "Democracy is dialogue – not union blackmail!", "Union racketeers = party brokers", "Vasil did not bend"! "Support for the mayor, not for the racket!", "#Who is blocking Sofia?", "Walk, Boyko shouted!", "We are with you, mayor!", the protest posters also read, dariknews.bg listed.

After 6:30 p.m., the protest turned into a procession, with its final point in front of the presidency building.
