The Mayor of Sofia is unprepared, once again he has proven that there are significant gaps in how power is exercised, how crises are avoided, what the behavior should be in such crises. The Mayor should initiate a constructive dialogue, not come out as a hero. This is what the municipal councilor from GERB-SDS Anton Koychev commented in the studio of "Denyat ON AIR".
The guest pointed out that the requests of the pediatricians from the V City Hospital to leave have been withdrawn.
"We will create a preventive program, with the implementation of preventive measures they will increase their salaries," Koychev pointed out on the air of Bulgaria ON AIR. The expected 1.5 million leva for municipal hospitals has not yet been paid.
"We are assured that it will be paid. The doctors will have every right to protest. We are in constant mediation, we have the assurance from the deputy mayor for finance that the money will be given", specified the municipal councilor. The Sofia Municipality has signed a memorandum with the Society of Cardiologists for a preventive program, which for the period May 17-31.
"Bulgaria is in first place in mortality from cardiovascular diseases. The program includes ECG, heart examination in 26 municipal medical institutions. All hours in the DCCs are almost exhausted. Echocardiography will be performed if colleagues assess that there is a need", specified Anton Koychev. The hours for preventive examinations are 80% full. Over 6,000 people will be examined.
"The point is to cover people who have no symptoms, the age of the sick is falling. There are people who neglect their health. Active, working people do not have time to wait for referrals to their general practitioner. Even if we save one human life, it will make sense", said the municipal councilor from GERB-SDF.
