The Executive Agency "Hail Control" (EABC) is on full alert for processing hail-hazardous clouds in order to protect agricultural areas in connection with the expected complicated meteorological situation in the country during the upcoming holidays.
EABC has the necessary number of missiles to effectively conduct protective measures throughout the entire range of active impact zones in the districts of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Sliven and Haskovo. The regions of North Central and Northeastern Bulgaria are protected by aircraft. Currently, three aircraft are ready to carry out processing of hail clouds in this part of the country.

Since the beginning of the active hail protection season, which started on April 15, 65 impacts have been carried out in the country, 267 hail clouds have been treated and a total of 4,558 missiles have been fired, of which 2,629 in Southern Bulgaria and 1,929 in Northern Bulgaria, according to the IABG.
